Click Here: NZeTA The New Zealand government has announced effective October 1st, 2019 U.S. citizens, British, Canadian, and Australian Permanant residents along with 56 other nationalities that can currently enter New Zealand under the NZ visa waiver program will require an NZeTA visa for both arrivals by Air and Cruiseship. Starting in mid July 2019 travelers will be able to apply for an NZeTA visa, it will become mandatory for travel to New Zealand from October 1st. The eTA visa will be issued for 2 years and good for multiple entries into New Zealand. Traveldocs.com is able to assist our clients in applying for the new NZeTA visa. All airline crew and cruise line crew will need a " Crew NZeTA Visa " before traveling to New Zealand. The Crew eTA will be valid for up to 5 years. Exemptions: Australian citizens will be exempt, however Australian permanent residents will need to hold an NZeTA visa but will not be required to pay for an International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL). Other exemptions include: Crew and passengers on a non-cruise vessel. The crew on a foreign ship carrying cargo. Guests of the New Zealand government. People traveling under The Antarctic Treaty. Members of a visiting force and associated crew members. International Visitors Conservation and Tourism Levy: The IVL will be introduced alongside the NZeTA Visa requirement and will cost NZD $35.00, The IVL will be valid for as long as the NZeTA visa is valid.
