On September 6th 2016 the Vietnamese government announced a change to their visa policy (see previous blog post) canceling all available visa validity options offering only a 1 year multiple entry tourist or business visa for U.S. citizens at a cost of $200 per person.

Effective October 10th 2016: all previous visa validities have been reinstated for U.S. citizens due to the overwhelming number of applicants not wanting to pay the higher fee for the 1 year multiple entry visa when in most cases it was not required. The most popular visa option for a single entry Tourist or Business visa valid for 30 days at a cost of $70 per person is now available along with several other Vietnamese visa validity options.
