An Electronic Visa or "e-Visa" is an electronically issued and stored authority for travel to Myanmar, which replaces the traditional paper visa process in most cases.
Traveldocs is please to announce the new Myanmar e-visa option is now available to our clients.
The Myanmar Government issues two types of visas: An e-Visa (electronic visa) and a traditional visa stamped into your passport.
TravelDocs recommends applying for an e-Visa if you only require a single entry visa for Myanmar. If a multiple entry visa is required please apply for the traditional stamped visa.
The e-Visa is valid for a single entry only, good for 90 days from date of issue for a stay up to 28 days for Tourist, 70 days for Business travelers. It is very easy to apply for and does not required sending your physical passport to TravelDocs. It can be issued in as little as 24 hours (Monday - Friday) and is a cost-effective option.
A Traditional Stamped Visa is valid for multiple entries (business visa) or single entries (tourist visa) into Myanmar, good for 6 months from date of issue for a stay up to 70 days business visa only, valid 90 days from date of issue for stay up to 28 days tourist visa. This option requires your physical passport and supporting documents to be sent to TravelDocs for submission to the Myanmar Embassy for processing. Although slightly more complicated and expensive to apply for this option is best if you require more than one entry into Myanmar as part of your itinerary and/or you may return to Myanmar within 6 months.
What if your trip requires two seperate entries into Myanmar as a tourist? You would need to apply for two e-Visas. Each e-Visa is only valid for a single entry.
All other visa types should be applied for using the traditional stamped visa method:
