Myanmar has annnouced effectiive December 12th 2016 several new visa validities making travel to Myanmar easier for U.S. citizens.
Previously two options were available for Business visas, single entry 3 month and a 6 month multiple entry visa, 3 month and 1 Year options have been added to assist US travelers

Each visa type below now offers 4 visa option:

3 Month Single
3 Month Multiple
6 Month Multiple
1 Year Multiple

Business Visa
NGO / INGO Visa
Religious Visa
Student Visa


Only single entry visas are offered for:

Tourist Visa
Employment Visa
Journalist Visa

The popular e-Visa option for Touirst and Business visas are still available and remain unchanged:
