Effective July 2nd 2015 the government of Kenya will introduce an electronic visa application form (e-visa).
There will be a grace period of two months whereby visas can still be obtained before departure from the Embassy in Washington DC or the consulates in New York and Los Angeles and on arrival in Kenya. Traveldocs will continue to assist travelers during this transition period.
As more information becomes available Traveldocs will create an online Kenyan e-visa processing option to assist our clients.
Currently we are aware of:
The online visa takes up to one week to process and must be completed in advance of arriving in Kenya.
Any form of business or employment on a visitor's visa is an offence.
All visitors who require a Kenya Visa and who are arriving on or after 1 September 2015 must apply online for the eVisa.
Travelling in July or August 2015?
For visitors* arriving into Kenya before 31 August 2015 visas can still be obtained from the Kenyan Embassies / consulates in their country prior to departure OR on arrival at the airport in Nairobi or Mombasa.
Effective 01 September 2015, you may be denied boarding on your flight to Kenya or denied entry to Kenya if you do not have your printed copy of your e-visa with you.
Traveldocs will continue to monitor and update this situation as new information becomes available.
Update July 15th, currently only Single Entry Tourist, Business and Medical visas are available, Multiple Entry visa option should be available soon.
