As the Chief Marketing officer of Travel Document Systems it is vital that I make sure all my clients understand all the new travel documentation requirements. You can have the best vacation or important business trip planned but if you don’t have a valid Passport and correct travel visas your vital travel plans will be sidelined.
Recently there have been a slew of new developments when it comes to travel visas. Quite a few countries are requiring that instead of the traditional visa stamped in the passport that an E-Visa be issued which is an electronic confirmation. The electronic confirmation, once applied for online, comes back in the form of an e-mail that the traveler carries with them upon entry to that specific country.
Some of the recent E-VISA changes have affected the following countries:
Kenya »
Australia »
India »
Myanmar
Sri Lanka »
Uganda
Turkey »
Canada (NON-US passport holders) »
In reference to US passport validity the majority of countries are requiring a US passport to be valid for six months after the completion of the trip. This means that if you have less than 6 months validity on your US passport you could be denied boarding a flight.
TDS can assist with your passport renewals or first time new issues on an expedited basis when required.
Check your US passport and travel documentation before you book a trip so you are certain to take the steps required in advance to update your information if necessary! A bit of due negligence on the front end will save you heartache and grief when a trip is missed or delayed because of passport and or visa issues.
Safe travels and enjoy this great world of ours!
