The Brazilian Consulate in Miami has extended the processing time for Tourist and Business Visas to 45-60 on average for US citizens. Traveldocs continues to work with the Consulate on reducing the time frame required by the visa office, however to date we have been unsuccessful. US citizens and or permanant residence residing in Florida should plan accordingly when arranging a trip the Brazil the process of obtaining a visa will take up to 2 months to complete.
