How It Works
The Laos e-visa is valid for 60 days from the approval date for a single entry for a stay up to 30 days.
You must enter using the passport you used to apply for the e-visa.
You must enter through one of eight international ports of entry - Wattay International Airport, Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge I, Luang Prabang International Airport, Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge II, Pakee International Airport, Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge IV, Boten International Checkpoint, Boten Railway Station.
You should carry the e visa approval notice with you at all times while in Laos incase you encounter police officers.
Please note that only ordinary passports can apply for an e-visa.
Some countries can apply for an extension twice and some once, you must apply for an extension before your visa expires it is a violation to apply if your e visa has expired.
Passport holders from the following countries can stay up to 30 days visa free: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Russia, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam.
Passport holders from the following countries can stay up to 15 days visa free: Luxembourg, Japan and Switzerland.
Passport holders from Myanmar can stay up to 14 days visa free.
