These requirements are applicable for US Citizens applying for a Bangladesh Business visa in Washington DC

Visa on ArrivalVisa on Arrival

It is possible to obtain your visa upon arrival in Bangladesh. Visa requirements and restrictions vary greatly when obtaining an on arrival visa.  The local immigration officials also hold the right to refuse entry to anyone for any reason. We strongly recommend that you obtain your visa before departure to Bangladesh. Should you choose to obtain your visa upon arrival, you will need to inquire with your airline if boarding is allowed without a visa.

Please send TDS your current valid and signed passport. U.S passport must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay and must have at least one blank visa page. Foreign Embassies cannot issue a visa on a page not labeled as a Visa page. Amendment and Endorsement pages in the back of the passport cannot be used for issuance of a visa.
A visa cannot be stamped on a page even if only one Small Stamp is on the visa page. If you do not have any blank visa pages in your passport, TDS can assist you in applying for additional pages. If your passport is not valid 6 months beyond you intended stay, you must renew your passport and then we will secure your visa with the new passport.

Please send a copy of your round trip airline tickets, or itinerary or e-ticket, or letter of confirmation from a travel agent. The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information. The Embassy does not recommend purchasing your ticket prior to a visa being issued.

 

Business LetterBusiness Letter

A business letter of responsibility (sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:
"Embassy of Bangladesh, Visa Section, Washington DC"
The letter must explain all of the following:
Nature of business to be performed
Name and address of reference to be visited
This letter should request Multiple Entries visa if required
Guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit
The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.

 

 

InvitationInvitation

Letter of invitation on letterhead from a host company or organization in Bangladesh. 

The letter should be printed on company letterhead, addressed to "The Embassy of Bangladesh in Washington DC, Visa Section", and signed by a senior manager. 

The business letter must adhere to the following guidelines:

• Briefly introduce the applicant (please specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant).
• State the nature of the business to be conducted (ie. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.) and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in Bangladesh.

        • Specify the Type and desired Validity of the visa (ie. a one-year multiple entry business visa).

Scan copy is acceptable.
