REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO OBTAIN VISA TO ENTER RWANDA
U.S.
citizens do not need a visa for tourist or business travel
to this country. A valid U.S.
Passport is required. Any U.S. citizen who wishes to travel
to Rwanda study, adoption, immigration, or stays longer than stipulated
in the entry requirements) should contact directly, the embassy
or nearest consulate.

- A business
letter of responsibility is required, to be typewritten on your
company letterhead and addressed to:
Embassy of Rwanda, Visa Section, Washington DC
The letter must explain all of the following:
- Nature of
business to be performed
- Name and
address of reference to be visited
- Guarantee
of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit.
- The letter
should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.

Visa Notes
- The RWANDA tourist or business visa is
usually valid for three months from date issued, for a
stay according to the dates specified on your application,
not to exceed 90 days.
REGISTER YOUR TRIP:
The U.S. Department of State encourages all American travelers to register with their local Embassy or Consulate when arriving in a foreign country. Registration helps the Embassy to provide important services for American citizens residing or traveling abroad. Some of these services include:

Without the information provided through registration, the Embassy is severely hindered in its ability to provide these services. Many of these services involve emergency situations and time constraints, therefore failure to register will almost certainly lead to delays at moments when you can least afford them.
