FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO OBTAIN VISA TO ENTER BRAZIL

Business Visa (Temporary
V Visa)
Eligibility
- For
Travellers holding an Employment Contract with a Brazilian
organization or corporation.
- For
Volunteers engaging in Community work in Brazil.
- For
business Travellers whenever the trip involves the provision
of Technical Assistance of any nature in Brazil.
- Approval
of contract by Brazil Ministry of Labor or regional Brazil
Department of Labor arranged by your Brazil Sponsor required.
Processing of visa cannot commence until approval has
been faxed to the Consulate General of Brazil in Chicago.
- This
information applies to applicants who are residents in the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Brazil in New York for the following states: Connecticut, Delaware, New
Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and New England. The visa issued to residents of these states will be valid for multiple entries to Brazil for 3 months to 5 years. The first entry must be made within 90 days of the date of issue of the visa.
Required
to Submit
- U.S.
Passport (not a copy), must be valid for at least
6 months from date of entry.

Brazil Visa Application
Forms, fully completed and signed
- 2 Professional Passport-type
photographs (Color photos only - digital potographs not accepted)
- Completed Cover Page and Credit Card Authorization forms (print from browser)
- Copy
of round trip ticket, or itinerary from an air carrier
or travel agent attesting to the acquisition of the
ticket, showing flight information and dates of departure
to and from Brazil.
- Proof
of residence in the Consular Jurisdiction for
the past 12 months.
- Recent
Non-Criminal record issued by the local Police Department.
- A
business letter from your firm, addressed to:Consulate
General
of Brazil, Visa Section, New York, NY,
explaining the purpose of the trip in detail and
the nature of the duties to be performed in detail,
stating name and full address of company to be visited
in Brazil, guaranteeing financial support for the
applicant while in Brazil, and return transportation.
This letter must be signed by an officer of the company
other than the applicant. THE SIGNATURE MUST BE NOTARIZED.
Consular Jurisdiction
- Consular jurisdiction applies to all business visas
for Brazil. This information applies to applicants
who are residents of the following
states: Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania. If
you do not reside in one of these states, and you are travelling to Brazil

visa.

Notes:
- Int'l
Certificate of Vaccination showing valid polio vaccinations
required for all children age 7 and under.
- International
Certificate of Vaccination for yellow fever is required if arriving in
Brazil from any area of an infected country.
- The
Brazil business visa is usually valid for entry into
Brazil (and must be first used) within 90 days of
issue date. The business visa is then usually valid
for multiple entries for up to two years, and for
a period of stay as authorized by the contract approval.
- There
are nine different Brazilian consular offices in
the U.S.-- each issues its own application form and
requirements may vary. Some Consulates do not
accept visa applications by mail.
