REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO OBTAIN VISA TO ENTER BRAZIL
Brazil Business Visa
(Temporary II Visa)
- For business negotiations, sales and marketing only. If the purpose of visit or the nature of duties to be performed in Brazil includes any form of "technical support" e.g. installation, repair, start-up, software development, etc., the Temporary V Visa is mandatory.
Jurisdiction: These instructions apply only residents of the following states in the jurisdiction of the Atlanta Consulate: Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina. South Carolina, Mississippi and Tennessee.
- Submit U.S. Passport (must be signed), must be valid for at least 6 months from date of entry and contain two blank visa pages

Visa Application Form,
fully completed and signed. (The Brazil consulate in Atlanta has produced an electronic visa application. Once on the link above, click on "Visa Request" and follow the steps. When completed print a copy of the application and send to TDS)
- Completed Cover Page and Credit Card Authorization forms (print from browser)
- 1 Professional Passport-type photograph (digital potographs not accepted)
- Copy of round trip ticket, or itinerary from an air carrier or travel agent attesting to the acquisition of the ticket, showing flight information and dates of departure to and from Brazil.
- Proof of residence: Clear photocopy of your driver's license or utility bills to show proof of residence in the jurisdiction of the Atlanta Consulate General.
- A notarized letter of invitation from sponsor (either host company or individual) explaining the relationship to the applicant and the purpose of travel. In addition, the letter must indicate the length of stay, place of stay, and contact information
- A Notarized business letter from your firm, addressed to:
Consulate General of Brazil, Visa Section, Atlanta, GA.
The letter should state all of the following:
- The purpose of the trip in detail
- The nature of duties to be performed in exact detail
- Declaring that "technical support" will not be performed in Brazil
- Guaranteeing financial support for the applicant while in Brazil, moral responsibility, and return transportation.
- The letter should be signed by a company executive other than the applicant.

- Consular Fee:
- $210.00 Per Visa - Valid three months to five years at the discretion of the Consulate.
the visa must be first used within three months of the date of issue
- Include credit card authorization, a check or money order payable to "Travel Document Systems, Inc." for TDS Handling Fee, Embassy Consular Fee, and return Shipping Fee.

Processing Instructions
Your application will be hand carried to the Embassy, and is usually processed in 15 - 20 business days. TDS Service fee for regular processing is $60.00. Rush service fee of $90.00 will be assessed for any attempts to process the visa in less than regular processing time.

Visa Notes:
- International Certificate of Vaccination for yellow fever is required if arriving in Brazil within 3 months of visiting any area of an infected country.
- Some Brazilian Consulates do not accept visa applications by mail.
