An estimated 12 million tourists visit Andorra annually, traveling by road because there is no air or rail service.

The closest international airport is in Barcelona, Spain, 225 km. (140 mi.) away, with daily bus service to Andorra. From Paris, there is a flight to Toulouse, 160 km. (100 mi.) from Andorra, with daily bus service available.

The French and Spanish railways stop near the border, where a daily bus meets the trains. A good road connects the Spanish and French frontiers by way of Sant Julia, Andorra la Vella, Les Escaldes, Encamp, Canillo, and Soldeu and crosses the Coll d'Envalira. Another possibility to arrive in Andorra, is through a direct night train that goes from Paris to Hospitalet, where there is a bus that goes to Andorra. Andorra has 124 km. (77 mi) of surfaced road.

Andorra is five standard time zones ahead of the eastern U.S.
